Stories from our happy clients about where they've been and what they've done with their shoes from Gordon's.
These Vellies were made for walking and she sure has travelled many kilometers! This is what a pair of Veldskoens should look like.....
Dear Greg
Many thanks for the assistance with the boots and not at least the gaiters. I didn’t really imagine the necessity of the gaiters but I think that they were one of the most important items on the trip.
The boots and the gaiters was waiting for me when I arrived to the lodge and they fitted like perfect.
Many thanks again and I hope I could use Your service when I will be in South Africa next time.
Best regards/Henrik
This lovely lady, another of our happy clients, shot this 14.1 ft crocodile!
Hi Greg,
You may recall the Aussie who bought a pair of the Courney Oryx boots and 3 pairs of the mohair socks at your shop in early August. They have been great boots from day one and must be lucky as I was successful in my hunt. I managed to secure a nice Gemsbok, Bushbuck, a nice Kudu (55") and two good Warthogs...
Best regards,
Peter Cameron
G'day Sandi and Greg
...Thanks for getting the Selous off. I am currently in the bush (more like sand) on a drilling rig...and must report that the Patrols are rather comfortable and cool, even in the 48C temps. Attached is a pic of where I'm at.
Cheers

"Why are you feet striped?" "I wear Gordons!"...
"Gordons"... bush sandals... discovered in the Man/Magnum hunting and outdoor magazine mail order for only R99. Khaki or Navy Blue... like the Khaki myself!... 20 years of excellent service... and now they decided not to make them any more!
"Don't those things ever wear out?"...from the young man in the Gordons Shop in Halfway House.
...comfortable, silent in the bush, keep your feet firm wet or dry, on rocks or sand. Lets the air circulate. Supple soles and webbing straps, velcro fastner...no clumsy plastic buckles to break off. Worn all summer long for the last 20 years and starting to look like their owner...well run in!
... always know a Gordons wearer, they have striped feet, from the suntan you see...
it's like a badge of pride!...
A Gordon for me!... a Gordon for me!... (old song about the Gordon Highlanders) things keep changing... not always for the better...
Dear Sandi,
